Terms of service

The terms that apply to this website and to the electrical work we carry out.

These terms apply to your use of this website and to electrical work carried out by Spark Up Electrical Works Pty Ltd (ABN 34 687 646 233), trading as Spark Up Electrical Works, licence number 340515C.

By using this website or engaging us to carry out work, you agree to these terms.

About this website

This website describes the electrical services we offer. It is not an online store. No goods are sold and no payments are taken through this website.

We try to keep the information on this website accurate and current, but it is general information only. Nothing on this website is a quote, an offer, or electrical advice for your particular situation. Always contact us for advice specific to your job.

Quote requests

Submitting the quote request form does not create a contract. It is a request for a price. We will respond with a quote or with questions, and no work is booked until we have agreed it with you.

Please give us accurate information about the job. A quote is based on what you have told us and on what we can see. If the work turns out to be different once we are on site, we will tell you before we continue and agree a revised price with you.

Quotes and pricing

Unless we say otherwise in writing, a quote is valid for 30 days and covers only the work described in it. Additional work, materials or access requirements are not included unless stated.

Emergency and after-hours call-outs may be charged at a different rate. We will tell you the rate before we attend.

Our work

We are a licensed electrical contractor and hold Level 2 accreditation. We carry out work in accordance with the Wiring Rules (AS/NZS 3000) and applicable New South Wales requirements, and we issue the certificates required for the work we perform.

You are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the work site, and for telling us about anything on site that could affect safety or the work.

Payment

Payment terms are set out on our invoice. Unless agreed otherwise, invoices are payable within the period stated on the invoice.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies those guarantees.

For major failures with the service you are entitled to cancel your service contract and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, and subject to the section above, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website.

This website is provided on an ‘as is’ basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free.

This website may link to other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information, and forms part of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this website at the time you use it is the version that applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
